After a visit to the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s wretched hive of scum and villainy final week, episode 4 of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier — entitled The Whole World Is Watching — landed on Disney Plus Friday. The present takes place six months after Avengers: Endgame, because the world tries to deal with the sudden return of billions of individuals.

Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and questionable ally Helmut Zemo (Daniel Brühl) are on the hunt for the Super Soldier Serum-empowered antinationalist Flag Smashers. However, Bucky discovers they’re being adopted by Wakandan particular forces member Ayo (Florence Kasumba), who’s monitoring Zemo — the person who killed her country’s king.

Elsewhere, new Captain America John Walker (Wyatt Russell) realizes that tailing Sam and Bucky is his finest guess for reaching the Flag Smashers and their chief, the ruthless Karli Morgenthau (Erin Kellyman).

Blood on the defend

The episode ends with Walker, newly empowered after sneakily taking the final of the Super Soldier Serum, flying right into a rage after Karli unintentionally kills his accomplice Lemar Hoskins (Cle Bennett), aka Battlestar, with a single superpowered punch to the chest.

Karli manages to slide into the gang, however Walker runs down her fellow Flag Smasher on the road and publicly kills him with Cap’s defend. As you’d count on, many of the crowd report this darkish second and the picture of the bloodied defend is broadcast to the world. Uh oh.

The picture of Walker slamming his defend into somebody’s chest harks again to Captain America: Civil War, by which Steve Rogers does the same to Iron Man to disable his armor. The distinction is that Steve stopped when his foe was crushed, whereas Walker gave in to his bloodlust.
