Zimbabwe crush Afghanistan inside two days in Abu Dhabi Test

A century from captain Sean Williams and scientific tempo bowling from Blessing Muzarabani and Victor Nyauchi led Zimbabwe to a 10-wicket win over Afghanistan inside two days within the opening Test in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

After Afghanistan was bowled out for 131 within the first innings, middle-order batsman Williams negotiated seam-friendly situations to attain 105 and assist Zimbabwe to a strong complete of 250.

Trailing by 119, Afghanistan struggled to spend time on the crease as eight batsmen have been dismissed for single figures within the second innings, 5 of them for geese.

They have been bowled out for 135 to set a goal of 17, which Zimbabwe reached in 20 deliveries with out dropping any wickets.

Muzarabani and his new ball companion Nyauchi, who accomplished career-best Test figures of 3-30 within the second innings, completed the match with six wickets every.

 

It was the second Test match in lower than every week to complete inside two days after India beat England by 10 wickets of their day-night conflict in Ahmedabad.
