EBay to Ban Six Dr. Seuss Books for Violating ‘Offensive…

EBay is reportedly eradicating the six Dr. Seuss books that the writer’s property has stopped publishing, saying that it’s engaged on eradicating the titles from its on-line auctions and different listings.

The Silicon Valley big confirmed to the Wall Street Journal on Thursday afternoon that it’s within the strategy of deleting  the titles from its market. Among the titles that shall be deleted are And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street and If I Ran the Zoo.

“EBay is currently sweeping our marketplace to remove these items,” a spokeswoman for eBay instructed the newspaper, including that it might take a while to assessment vendor listings and that the corporate was monitoring newly printed listings.

The announcement comes as eBay customers took to social media on Thursday claiming that their listings for the Dr. Seuss books in query had been eliminated. Some customers posted the messages they obtained from eBay, which appeared to state that listings violated the corporate’s “Offensive material policy.”

EBay didn’t reply to Breitbart News’ request for remark earlier on Thursday.

This week, Dr. Seuss Enterprises mentioned it will cease publishing six titles that it has determined comprise offensive materials and that “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.” The property didn’t elaborate however the materials in query is believed to pertain to illustrations of Asian folks carrying pointy hats and consuming with chopsticks.
