Two days after Biden took over the White House final month, U.S. troops had been seen getting into Syria from Iraq, signaling a reversal of President Trump’s efforts to finish U.S. involvement in ‘forever wars’ within the Middle East.

On Tuesday Reuters reported an Iranian-backed militia in Iraq denied duty for a streak of three assaults on U.S. forces in current weeks:
