UK sanctions Myanmar generals after navy coup

Britain imposed sanctions on three Myanmar generals on Thursday, accusing them of great human rights violations following a navy coup within the Asian nation.

Myanmar’s navy has arrested civilian leaders, together with Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, and introduced a year-long state of emergency, alleging that an election in November was beset by fraud. The electoral fee dismissed the military’s complaints.
