In an official launch, the civic physique mentioned that there are 347 non-public hospitals within the metropolis.
The TMC lately performed a fireplace audit of those amenities. However, 28 of them have been discovered to be shut. Of the remaining 319 hospitals, 111 discovered to have complied with the hearth security laws and submitted the certificates, it mentioned.
The remaining 208, which involves 65.20 per cent are but to adjust to the hearth security norms and submit their certificates, the discharge mentioned. The civic physique has given time until February 22 to those 208 hospitals for compliance, within the absence of which they are going to face extreme motion, it added.
